Vote BN to maintain peace, harmony: DPM

LUMUT (April 24, 2013): Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today spoke about "Malaysia then and now" to highlight Barisan Nasional's (BN) accomplishments, during his campaign to touch base with the Malay community here.
Speaking to more than 1,200 BN supporters in the Pasir Panjang state constituency, he said Malaysia has achieved all that it has today because of BN's efforts and urged the people not to forget the services of the government.
"The Opposition will always say that development in Malaysia is unfair and that it helps only one race and neglects others.
"You can see for yourselves whether the allegations hurled at the government are true," Muhyiddin said.
Stressing that Perak is one of the states in the country that has reduced its poverty rate, he said this could only be achieved under BN.
Pointing to the growing economy in the country, Muhyiddin compared how people lived 30 years ago to the living standards today.
"This is the reason all of you should vote for BN. All these years, people have lived comfortably and peacefully.
"Do you want to change this situation? Do you want a country with chaos and disharmony?" he asked.
Muhyiddin said the Opposition's cries for change (ubah) will not work, because the people are comfortable with what they have now.
Vote for BN forever.......

Takiyuddin minta Fatmi kemuka bukti

Ramakrishnan: Mutton curry quote taken out of context

LABIS (April 24, 2013): The DAP candidate for the Labis Parliamentary seat S. Ramakrishnan said his quotes in a recent talk where he said Indian votes are not easily bought with beer and mutton curry was taken out of context.
He said his actual meaning was that MCA thinks Indian votes are easily bought with mutton curry and beer, and was not meant to belittle the Indian community.
"My statement has been twisted by MCA. Perhaps because the quote was slightly mistranslated," he told theSun today.
Ramakrishnan was responding to incumbent Labis MP Datuk Chua Tee Yong, who allegedly said his statement was racist in nature.
Meanwhile, Ramakrishnan also said that his planned event at the Achi Jaya plantation was disrupted as the workers there were told not to organise it.
"The workers were also prevented from putting up any banners deemed supportive of Pakatan Rakyat, but the Barisan Nasional ones are up," he claimed.
He said estate holders and employers should allow their workers to express their support openly, and urged the Election Commission (EC) to issue a statement to allow both parties to touch base with the workers.

Prior to the incident, the pixman was warned by the group against taking its pictures.
Sin said the man fled the scene after hitting him.
He has lodged a report at the Jelutong police station.
