Psy appeals to young and old alike

Hey! Sexy ladies: Students posing in front of a banner for Barisan’s Chinese New Year open house at a college campus in Penang.

Psy’s upcoming performance here is generating a buzz that cuts through generations.
A former teacher, who only wanted to be known as Khor, said she “absolutely loves” the K-pop sensation and will be asking her husband and son to take her to the performance.
“My friends from the Taman Sri Nibong tai chi group also love his ‘Gangnam Style’ dance.
“We learnt the moves while on a cruise to Thailand – it was one of the activities on board,” she said.
The 70-year-old will be among some 60,000 guests expected at the Barisan Nasional Chinese New Year open house in Han Chiang High School on Feb 11.
Taylor’s Universitystudent Migo Ho, 22, from Kuala Lumpur, is a K-pop die-hard fan for eight years now, and she will be in her father’s hometown in Kedah for Chinese New Year.
She would be getting a ride to Penang for Psy.
“Psy is very different from the typical K-pop superstar – his style, music and even videos are so unique.
“I’ve been a fan even before he came up with ‘Gangnam Style’,” she added.
Senior marketing manager Neoh Soon Ken, 32, who avoids attending open houses because of the crowd, will make an exception this time around, saying Psy’s performance will be good for tourism here.
“The buzz created online in social networking sites and websites around the world has been phenomenal for Penang,” he said.
Golden Sands Resort and Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa communications director Suleiman Tunku Abdul Rahman said a surge in last-minute online hotel bookings, particularly from outstation guests, was expected.
“We have free shuttle buses to drop guests off at Traders Hotel, which is about 15 minutes away from where Psy is performing,” he said.

Banner protest an act of sabotage, says DAP chief

Several banners have been strung up in various parts of the town, denouncing a prospective DAP candidate in the general election.
Taman Bukit Perdana DAP branch chief Tan Meng Ann alleged that it was “an act of sabotage” by some party members.
He said he saw one of the banners in his neighbourhood when driving his daughter to school at about 6am yesterday. The banner had been taken down when he drove past the site at about 10am, he said.
Similar banners and posters nailed on trees were seen along the Taman Bukit Perdana main road, at the Taman Makmur food court and near the DAP office in Jalan Omar.
It is believed that the posters were aimed at Johor DAP deputy secretary Gan Peck Cheng, who lost in her bid to win the Penggaram state seat in the past four general elections.
In 2008, she lost to Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Koh Chee Chai, who is from the MCA.
It is learnt, however, that the party may put her up as a candidate again at the next polls.
“I don't want to speculate.
“We don't know the real motive behind it but it could be someone who is eyeing to be a candidate,” said Tan, advising those who had grouses to bring them up with the party instead of making public attacks.
His deputy, Chin Sin Chai, said the party would not lodge a police report because it was an internal party issue.
Meanwhile, Gan said she was not surprised that such a thing had happened.
Declining to be drawn into the issue, she said: “It is normal when the elections are near. It is not necessary to speculate.”

Another DAP life member asks for probe

Another DAP member has asked the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to investigate the results of the party's recent elections.
Former Taman Megah branch deputy chairman Lee Chee Chengsubmitted a copy of a police report that he lodged on Jan 24 to the ROS yesterday, in which he alleged that the election results were invalid.
Lee wants both the police and the ROS to investigate if there were elements of fraud in the Dec 15 election of the party's central executive committee (CEC).
“I also urge (DAP secretary-general) Lim Guan Eng to submit the election tabulation log to the ROS for further investigation,” Lee said at the ROS headquarters lobby here.
Lee claimed that he has been a DAP life member since 2009.
On Jan 14, two other DAP life members submitted a similar request to the ROS here.
Ladang Paroi branch vice-chairman David Dass A. and secretary Mahendran Krishnan said they were shocked when the results were changed almost three weeks after the official results were announced.
The party had, early last month, admitted to a tabulation error in the results, which saw Lim's aide Zairil Khir Johari moved up from the 39th to the 20th position, giving him the last spot in the CEC.
Zairil is the sole Malay candidate who had successfully won a place in the CEC.
The error, which the party said had occurred as a result of a “technical glitch”, also saw the resignation of its election director Pooi Weng Keong.
Apart from the election of Zairil into the CEC, the new results also saw Vincent Wu, who was initially announced to have secured the sixth spot with 1,202 votes, dropped to the 26th spot with 669 votes.
It was reported that the party leadership has conducted an internal audit of the tally sheet results with verification by external auditors following the discovery of the error.

NIk Aziz VS Psy

Psy seorang lelaki ,malunya bila Nik Aziz menganggap Psy tu perempuan. Tu lah, kalau nak buat kenyataan pun biarlah ikut fakta, bukan main hentam saja.Sekarang diri sendiri yang malu.Seperti sudah ketandusan idea unutk menghalang kehadiran Psy.Nik Aziz mainkan isu tutup aurat pula.Tapi bila pembangkang buat "tarian separa bogel" tak pula Nik Aziz bising pasal aurat.Sokong lagi adalah.
Tapi bila benda yang Bn buat, semua salah dan dosa.Siapa mereka untuk menghakimi dosa dan pahala sesorang, kerana hanyaAllah sahaja yang laayk menilai kita.

Biar BN terus terajui Malaysia!!
