Police were forced to initiate action against perpetrators of several untoward incidents at the Janji Demokrasi event at Dataran Merdeka after no one surrendered voluntarily, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein.
Hishamuddin said on twitter that the authorities had given a grace period for individuals involved in three public interst cases-a rock hurling incident,the lewd gesture and trampling of the Prime Minster's picture and the unveiling of an alternative flag during the Merdeka eve celebration.
