PR separate manifesto for Selangor

The fight for Selangor has intensified with Pakatan Rakyat coming up with a separate manifesto for the state.
This follows Selangor Barisan Nasional coordinator and election deputydirector Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohamed's announcement last month that Barisan would have a manifesto for Selangor.
Selangor state assembly speakerDatuk Teng Chang Khim said the Pakatan state government was in the process of drafting the manifesto.
“We were supposed to release the state manifesto before the national Pakatan manifesto but we wanted to avoid overlap in certain areas, so we are holding it (back),” he said in an interview with SwitchUp.tv's GE13: The Showdown programme hosted by Anne Edwards.
Teng, who is also Sungai Pinang assemblyman, said the manifesto would centre on empowerment.
“We are not going to give fish to the people, we are going to teach them how to fish so that they can eat for a lifetime.”
He added that the manifesto would include programmes for the lower-income group as well as school-leavers.
The manifesto was being fine-tuned and should be completed before dissolution of the assembly.
Teng said Pakatan was not worried about facing Barisan as the state government had a good track record.
“We believe we have done enough to convince the people that this is a government they can trust and to give the mandate for another five years.”
He added that surveys were conducted every three months to find out Pakatan's weaknesses, so they could improve further.
He said the most recent survey showed that the state government was maintaining the support it has had since the 2008 general election.
“That is why we're raising the bar and have set a target of winning a two-thirds majority in Selangor,” he said, adding that they were looking at picking up seats along the state's coastal areas.
Tak faham mengapa nak pisahkan manifesto dengan Selangor.Bukan Selangor tu, dibawah PR juga ke? Apa pula strategi PR kali ni, ???
