'Don't fall for DAP's empty promises'

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek yesterday cautioned the Chinese community in Johor not to be deceived by DAP's empty promises that it will bring about change to the state.
He said DAP, in its ongoing campaign to wrest control of the state from Barisan Nasional, was merely providing false hope to the people to gain their support.

"DAP is planning to attack Johor with all guns blazing and they're doing so by falsely promising the Chinese there that it would bring change to the state," Chua said at the MCA headquarters here yesterday.

Present were MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, vice-presidents Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen and senator Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai.

He said DAP was only trying to hoodwink the people by saying that it would turn Johor into another Penang, currently controlled by DAP.

"The DAP wants Johor to emulate Penang's success story, but is it really a success story? Its chief minister (Lim Guan Eng) boasted that the foreign direct investment in the state was ranked among the top in the country in 2010 and 2011.

"However, he will never talk about Penang's FDI last year because it had dropped by 73 per cent."

"Recently, there was a major investment worth RM2 billion, but it never materialised because investors no longer have confidence in the Penang state government. Penang's gross domestic income also recorded a negative growth from 2008 until 2010.

"In terms of job creation, the government in Penang provided 20,000 jobs in 2011, but that figure plunged by half last year."

Jangan benarkan PR bodohkan lagi rakyat Malaysia..Buka mata, buka minda.
