MBSA pays dues to avoid seal -off

SHAH ALAM: An attempt to seal the Shah Alam City Council's (MBSA) headquarters here was called off yesterday after it paid a portion of its dues at the last minute.
Lawyer Jeremy Khalif Lee, who declined to disclose the sum paid to his client, managing director of Menara Biru Sdn Bhd, said the court bailiff was scheduled to seal the headquarters at noon yesterday. He said MBSA still owed a sum in damages.
The company was earlier contracted to revive an abandoned housing project for the council officers. In 2009, the High Court ruled in favour of Menara Biru while ordering the council to pay the company a sum in costs and damages. The case was later reprised in the Court of Appeal. However, when MBSA did not make any payment, Menara Biru applied for a writ of seizure and sale in March.
The company's managing director, Fadzilah Abdul Hamid, said he was disappointed with the outcome.
"I was hoping for a seal. The cost of the project that was completed in 2002 was initially about RM4 million.
"I was paid RM1.5 million in stages, but I have been waiting for the rest of the money since I first engaged the arbitrators," he said, adding that the costs he incurred had also increased over the period.

MBSA pulak kisahnya, yang PKNS pun rasanya tak selesai lagi..Pak Menteri silalah jawab.
