PKR members violating party policies will be sacked: Saifudin

PETALING JAYA (April 29, 2013): Members of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) found to have violated party policies and regulations, especially throughout the campaign period for the 13th general election, will be sacked.
The announcement was made by PKR secretary-general Saifudin Nasution Ismail at a press conference at the PKR headquarters here today.
"We will continue collecting information and evidence about the offences committed by our members, especially if they were found to have violated party policies during the election period.
"Follow up actions, including expulsion, will continue to be taken," he said.
Saifuddin's announcement followed the statement made by PKR information chief Tian Chua that the party had sacked 34 of its members for submitting their nomination papers as Independent candidates for the May 5 polls.
PKR president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Ismail was reported to have given them until 5pm last Thursday to apologise to the party and withdraw their candidacies. – Bernama
