LAM THYE: ANIMAL WELFARE BILL OVERDUE

Its patron, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, said the bill should be tabled at Parliament by year-end.

"It is a long-overdue legislation," he said, adding that better protection for animals could be ensured with the bill's early introduction.
